A detective living a happy married life learns that a man he once arrested has escaped from prison. The fugitive commits a string of robberies and rapes, and ultimately takes his former lover as hostage, who now the detective's wife. He continues his escape, repeatedly assaulting her while holding the detective's gun in his hand...
