After her parents death, newly orphaned Cath travels up north to her recently inherited lake house where she meets Ryan, a likeable man happy to fill the void her parents left.

Set in the summer of 1972, Lacy, a teenage hitchhiker, gets lost in the forest of Bruce Peninsula, where she spends many hallucinatory, surrealistic days and nights attempting to escape.
