Musashi no Ken catalogues the life of Natsuki Musashi in his quest to become the best Kenshi (swordsman) in the world.

Researcher Mutsugoro takes his family to a remote and uninhabited island near Hokkaido, to study the local population of wild bears. Nearby poachers make his life difficult, and he "inherits" an orphaned bear cub, whom the family call Donbe and raise as one of their own.

After working his way up from the oppressed peasant class, the rogue ninja Kamui must struggle to free himself from the iron fist of his own clan. He travels through all the country running from ruthless killers who have traveled to the ends of the Earth to destroy him. The movie version of the ninja anime based on Sanpei Shirato's manga.
