Young Gustaf Svensson has been warned by his father that he should stop chasing girls.

About the Swedish trickster and thief Lars "Lasse-Maja" Molin. He often disguised himself and lived as a woman in 1800s. He takes place as a kitchen boy for a bailiff and manages to prevent him from taking over the cottage where his beloved lives. His true identity will, however, be disclosed and he is forced to become an outlaw.

Björn Norell, a bookish assistant to an art dealer, is fired because of his inability to find the third of a trio of Buddha statues. In order to get his job back, Norell, goes on a hunt to find it in order to get his job back. Meanwhile, the art dealer has sent his daughter Ulla after him to retrieve the statue. Lasse Larsson's friend, Johan Jansson, are in trouble because of his wife. She has told her American relatives that her husband is a consul. When the relatives from America announce a visit, Lasse has to help to keep up the lie.
